You might be confused as to why this book has two read dates that were months appart from each other. I started reading this book in May, but I was busy reading a bunch of other books, so I was not able to finish it. I was then able to borrow an ebook version of it and finished the book with that. Because of that, I was confused when I first restarted the book. I couldn't remember all of the characters and some of the world building that had been done. But after a while, I was able to figure things out.

I discovered this book around the time that I found Entwined by Heather Dixon. Because of that, I ended up reading them back to back. Because of that, I think I kind of compared the two to each other. They both have the same idea and come from the same story, so I had to take a step back and try to not compare them to each other so much.
The story is about Rose and her 11 little sisters.

I have an obsession with fairy tales. I really do. But at least it's not a problem that I need to get help with. Unless to talk to my family...
Even though this is such a short book, I was also reading a couple other books, so that's why it took me so long to read. Like the other books in this collection, this book was cute, fluffy, and a nice break from 400+ paged books.

When
Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly
expects to witness a murder. Much less a murder committed by three teenagers
covered with odd markings. This is Clary's first meeting with the
Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons--and keeping
the odd werewolves and vampires in line. It's also her first meeting with
gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into
Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself
is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in an ordinary
mundane like Clary? And how did she suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters
would like to know...

This cover is stunning. Absolutely STUNNING. I love everything about it. The dress the model is wearing, I would wear it, and her crazy hair. I love how her ring, the bird in the cage, and her sad expression are brought to attention by being circled.

At first, I gave this book 5 stars. But thinking back and skimming through some other reviews, I realized that this book wasn't as good as I thought it was. Looking back, I couldn't stand Cassia and the love triangle. I think it was just a little too forced and unnatural. And I'm kinda sad that the beautiful cover can't make up for it. I just love the cover. It matches (haha) really well with the book because of the green pill and Cassia's color is green.

After reading Nightshade, I didn't have high hopes for this book, as it is also a shape shifter book. But I was thankfully proved wrong and I loved this book! The cover also puts the cherry on top.

I was really sad when I got this book from the library and it wasn't the edition with the face and cool colors on it. So disappointing.
The blue is really pretty, though. I also love the font.
OHMYGOD!!!! I just realized that behind the font is a face!!!!! I feel so smart!!
