Top Ten Tuesday #26

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This Week's Topic:

Ten Favorite Fairytale Retellings

These are my favorite fairytale retellings, whether they be fairytales or other stories.

10.

Violet Eyes (Once Upon a Time Collection) by Debbie Viguie

9.

The Princess Trilogy by Jessica Day George

8.

Entwined by Heather Dixon

7.

Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George

6.

A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy by Sarah J. Maas

5.

 Everneath trilogy by Brodi Ashton

4.

 Splintered trilogy by A.G. Howard

3.

The Madman's Daughter trilogy by Megan Shepherd

2.

Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

1.

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

I only included the first of each series, as then it would have gotten messy having them all in here. Even though I've read quite a few retellings, there are still a lot more I can't wait to read!

"Violet Eyes: A Retelling of "Princess and the Pea" (Once Upon a Time)" by Debbie Viguie

5 out of 5 stars

I have an obsession with fairy tales. I really do. But at least it's not a problem that I need to get help with. Unless to talk to my family...

Even though this is such a short book, I was also reading a couple other books, so that's why it took me so long to read. Like the other books in this collection, this book was cute, fluffy, and a nice break from 400+ paged books.

"Midnight Pearls: A Retelling of "The Little Mermaid" (Once Upon a Time)" by Debbie Viguie

5 out of 5 stars

Read May 7 to 8, 2013

Pages: 197

The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney movies and I sing along everytime I watch it. I've also read the original story by Hans Christian Anderson, which made me really sad. I think it made one of my friends cry...

But I died a little on the inside after reading it.
