I now know what I've been missing out on by waiting so long to read this book.

I've heard so many great reviews and I had it sitting on my bookshelf for a few months (I waited such a long time to buy it in paperback), so I finally decided to read it. I started in really late Friday night and was immediately hooked. I had to force myself to stop because I had to wake up the next day. Then I finished it Sunday. When I finished it, I knew that I had to read the sequel ASAP. Too bad I already had a ton of other books to read.

I loved Tahereh's style of writing. Some people didn't like the crossing out, repetition, and extravagant similes/metaphors. I thought they were beautiful. The whole book felt like poetry. It was mesmerizing and I didn't want to stop reading.

I loved Juliette. I felt so bad for her and I just wanted to hug her! She was so sad and just wanted someone to care about her. That's not too much to ask for. I didn't really know who to choose: Warner or Adam. I think I might be leaning towards Warner though. I think he really does care about Juliette. Plus, their make out scene was pretty nice. Adam... he seems nice, but I just have a gut feeling about him.

Other than discussing my fangirling and how everyone and their mother should read this book, I'm not sure if I have much else to say. It's FRICKIN AMAZING!!!!!

Juliette
Although she didn't talk much, I thought she was great. Even though she is damaged and weak, she is so strong and caring. So many people have hurt her, but she doesn't want to hurt anyone. She just wants love.

Warner
I think I like him more than Adam. I could tell that he really did care about Juliette and wanted her to be happy. I just want to read the next books and get inside his head some more.

Adam
He seems like he really does care about Juliette, but I don't know. I'm not sure if I trust him yet.

Kenji
We don't see him much but I think that he's great comic relief because this book can get pretty intense sometimes.

Overall, this book deserves more than 5 stars. I am in love. I'm in love with a book and I have no regrets!!!! I can't read to read the rest of the trilogy!
