Nikki Beckett could only watch as her boyfriend, Jack, sacrificed himself to save her, taking her place in the Tunnels of the Everneath for eternity — a debt that should’ve been hers. She’s living a borrowed life, and she doesn’t know what to do with the guilt. And every night Jack appears in her dreams, lost and confused and wasting away.
Desperate for answers, Nikki turns to Cole, the immortal bad boy who wants to make her his queen — and the one person least likely to help. But his heart has been touched by everything about Nikki, and he agrees to assist her in the only way he can: by taking her to the Everneath himself.
Nikki and Cole descend into the Everneath, only to discover that their journey will be more difficult than they’d anticipated — and more deadly. But Nikki vows to stop at nothing to save Jack — even if it means making an incredible sacrifice of her own.
In this enthralling sequel to Everneath, Brodi Ashton tests the bonds of destiny and explores the lengths we’ll go to for the ones we love.

Confessions of a Bookworm #6

Confessions of a Bookworm #2

Confessions of a Bookworm is a new meme hosted by Anila at Parajunkee's View.

With this new feature, we have the opportunity to get to know each other by making confessions!

My Confession:
The only reason I like ebooks is because they are much more portable than physical books. I like actually feeling the pages. So I pretty much only like ebooks is because I have them with me everywhere and can easily read a chapter or two between classes. Plus people can't bug me by asking what I'm reading!

This Weeks Question Is:
Do you prefer using bookmarks, or bending the pages?

Please do not bring up bending book pages around me. I feel like I've been punched in the heart when I see a bent page. If I accidently bend a page, I feel terrible. I apologize to the book and ask for it's forgiveness. I know it's a little extreme, but hey, I love my books! And I usually use receipts as bookmarks. I used to have so many bookmarks, but I've somehow lost them all...

The Nightmare Charade (The Arkwell Academy, #3)
"The Nightmare Charade (The Arkwell Academy, #3)" by Mindee Arnett
Expected Publication: August 4, 2015

The final installment in a thrilling fantastical mystery series.
Sixteen-year-old Dusty Everhart breaks into houses late at night, but not because she’s a criminal. No, she’s a Nightmare. Literally. Dusty is a magical being who feeds on human dreams.
Being the only Nightmare at Arkwell Academy, a boarding school for magickind, and living in the shadow of her mother’s infamy is hard enough, not to mention the crazy events of the past year. Dusty may have saved the day, but there are many days left in the year, and with an old foe back to seek revenge, she'll need all her strength to defeat him and save her friends.
Mindee Arnett thrills again in this stunning final installment in the Arkwell Academy series.
I haven't started this series yet, but it sounds really interesting! The idea of a girl being a Nightmare, someone who lives off of human's dreams sounds super cool! I hope to start the trilogy sometime this year!

I'm still figuring it out, but I now have a Twitter account! Check it out!

Top Ten Tuesday #16

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week is all about characters who are ____ !

For this week I chose characters who have amazing abilities! They can be magical, physical, anything really. Just something that makes them stand out!

10.
Darkness Becomes Her (Gods & Monsters #1)
Gods & Monsters by Kelly Keaton
Ari is a descendant of Medusa, so naturally she has some powers. It's just a matter of learning how to use them. Plus I recently found out that there's a 4th book. How did I not know that?!?!

9.
White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1)
The Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Layla is half demon and gargoyle and is torn between those two powerful groups and must figure out if she belongs in either one.

8.
The Katerina Trilogy, Vol. I: The Gathering Storm
The Katerina Trilogy by Robin Bridges
Katerina can bring back the dead, and Imperial Russia is filled with fae, vampires, werewolves, oh my!

7.
The Falconer (The Falconer, #1)
The Falconer Trilogy by Elizabeth May
She can kill fae, I'd say that's pretty badass.

6.
Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1)
Daughter of Smoke & Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor
Angels and chimera. Both are badass and chimera can essentially be remade. That's kind of awesome.

5.
Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)
Shatter Me Trilogy by Tahereh Mafi
Juliette can touch people and hurt, or even kill, them. That's pretty powerful.

4.
Obsidian (Lux, #1)
Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Sexy aliens. Need I say more?

3.
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)
Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas
Teenage assassin, and we later find out about her past and what abilities she has!

2.
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Many of the characters are Lunar, so they have glamour abilities, and the non-Lunar characters are just as awesome!

1.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Most of the characters are wizards, so of course they have magical powers!

There are quite a few series that have characters with abilities, and these are just a few! There are so many more series that could be named, but this is only my top ten!

Nothing ever happens in Norway. But at least Ellie knows what to expect when she visits her grandmother: a tranquil fishing village and long, slow summer days. And maybe she’ll finally get out from under the shadow of her way-too-perfect big brother, Graham, while she’s there.
What Ellie doesn’t anticipate is Graham’s infuriating best friend, Tuck, tagging along for the trip. Nor did she imagine boys going missing amid rumors of impossible kidnappings. Least of all does she expect something powerful and ancient to awaken in her and that strange whispers would urge Ellie to claim her place among mythological warriors. Instead of peace and quiet, there’s suddenly a lot for a girl from L.A. to handle on a summer sojourn in Norway! And when Graham vanishes, it’s up to Ellie—and the ever-sarcastic, if undeniably alluring Tuck—to uncover the truth about all the disappearances and thwart the nefarious plan behind them.
Deadly legends, hidden identities, and tentative romance swirl together in one girl’s unexpectedly-epic coming of age.

Feature and Follow #15

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee's View.

This weeks featured bloggers are Mountain Rhinestones and Book Yabber!

This Weeks Question:
How did you come up with your blog title and address? Does it have a special meaning for you?

I came up with it because I had no clue what to name it. My name is Lizzie, and I'm blonde, and I'm really sarcastic. I guess everyone guesses that since I'm really small, quite, and a blonde, they think I'm really sweet and dumb. I'm actually quite blunt and sarcastic, so I guess that's how I got my blog title. However, I do wish I chose something else, but I'm not sure what.

How did you come up with your blog name?

Confessions of a Bookworm #5

Confessions of a Bookworm #2

Confessions of a Bookworm is a new meme hosted by Anila at Parajunkee's View.

With this new feature, we have the opportunity to get to know each other by making confessions!

My Confession:
I am terrible at turning in books on time. I've gotten better, but I still forget about due dates and often times will not get to the book because I'll be busy with school, work, and other stuff. I'll extend the time I can check it out for, and then frantically try to finish the book in the few days before the new due date. I guess that's another example of how I need to work on my scheduling and time management skills...

This Weeks Question Is:
In which book would you like to live?

HARRY POTTER!! Duh!! Slytherin pride here! I'm still waiting for my letter, even though I should have gotten it more than 8 years ago...

Walk on Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy, #1)
"Walk on Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy, #1)" by Rae Carson
Expected Publication: September 22, 2015

The first book in a new trilogy from acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Rae Carson. A young woman with the magical ability to sense the presence of gold must flee her home, taking her on a sweeping and dangerous journey across Gold Rush–era America.
Lee Westfall has a secret. She can sense the presence of gold in the world around her. Veins deep beneath the earth, pebbles in the river, nuggets dug up from the forest floor. The buzz of gold means warmth and life and home—until everything is ripped away by a man who wants to control her. Left with nothing, Lee disguises herself as a boy and takes to the trail across the country. Gold was discovered in California, and where else could such a magical girl find herself, find safety? Rae Carson, author of the acclaimed Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy, dazzles with this new fantasy that subverts both our own history and familiar fantasy tropes.
Walk on Earth a Stranger, the first book in this new trilogy, introduces—as only Rae Carson can—a strong heroine, a perilous road, a fantastical twist, and a slow-burning romance. Includes a map and author’s note on historical research.

This sounds really interesting! It takes a fantasy twist to history, and I'm excited for that! I still need to read her first trilogy, and I hope I can start it soon!

By the way! I've finally decided to try Twitter! Here is my profile! It doesn't have a whole lot now, but I hope to figure it out soon!

For some, I have only read one series, but I can't wait to read their other series. While I haven't finished all of these author's series, I know that I will still love the ending, even if it is heart-breaking. *gives Susan Dennard a death glare*
