"Nightshade (Nightshade, #1)" by Andrea Cremer

I'm not sure if it's just me, but the little sentence teaser thing sounds cheesy. "She can control her pack, but not her heart." Sounds like a ham and cheese sandwich to me. But the cover's still really pretty. I love the profile of the girl and the wolf and the background colors.

I got kind of annoyed by Calla. She was strong, but she also complained SOOOOOOO much!

I didn't realize until after I finished the book that the gate on the cover is supposed to be the Golden Gate Bridge. It is, right? That girls arms look a little weird. Like, there's just something off about them. But I'm not sure what...

Maybe it's the arms. I'm probably just a really confused person.

I've been obesessed with Anastasia since I was a little girl. Anastasia was one of my favorite movies when I was younger, and I still love it. I died a little on the inside when I found out that Anastasia Romanov died with the rest of her family. I fangirled when I found this book.

The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney movies and I sing along everytime I watch it. I've also read the original story by Hans Christian Anderson, which made me really sad. I think it made one of my friends cry...

But I died a little on the inside after reading it.

In the Community, there is no more pain or war. Implanted computer chips have wiped humanity clean of destructive emotions, and thoughts are replaced by a feed from the Link network.
When Zoe starts to malfunction (or “glitch”), she suddenly begins having her own thoughts, feelings, and identity. Any anomalies must be immediately reported and repaired, but Zoe has a secret so dark it will mean certain deactivation if she is caught: her glitches have given her uncontrollable telekinetic powers.
As Zoe struggles to control her abilities and stay hidden, she meets other glitchers including Max, who can disguise his appearance, and Adrien, who has visions of the future. Both boys introduce Zoe to feelings that are entirely new. Together, this growing band of glitchers must find a way to free themselves from the controlling hands of the Community before they’re caught and deactivated, or worse.
In this action-packed debut, Glitch begins an exciting new young adult trilogy.

This books was SOOOO creative!! It was super original and was nothing like what I've ever read before. I should also add that the cover is stunning! I love the contrast of the blue and white/grey/black. It made me remember of the blue color that I had dyed in my hair.

I think I'm in love.

I was so excited to read a book with fairies and other creatures. I guess I just can't accept reality or something. Oh well. Fantasy is much better. I loved how the fey weren't all cutesy and sparkly like Tinkerbell. They were more bad-ass.

Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don't kill him first, that is.
