Confessions of a Bookworm #6

Confessions of a Bookworm #2

Confessions of a Bookworm is a new meme hosted by Anila at Parajunkee's View.
With this new feature, we have the opportunity to get to know each other by making confessions!
My Confession:
The only reason I like ebooks is because they are much more portable than physical books. I like actually feeling the pages. So I pretty much only like ebooks is because I have them with me everywhere and can easily read a chapter or two between classes. Plus people can't bug me by asking what I'm reading!
This Weeks Question Is:
Do you prefer using bookmarks, or bending the pages?
Please do not bring up bending book pages around me. I feel like I've been punched in the heart when I see a bent page. If I accidently bend a page, I feel terrible. I apologize to the book and ask for it's forgiveness. I know it's a little extreme, but hey, I love my books! And I usually use receipts as bookmarks. I used to have so many bookmarks, but I've somehow lost them all...

  1. I love my ebooks too for the same reason. I hate that people love to give kindle/nook/ipad readers such crap for reading digital copies saying that "you aren't getting the full experience". Excuse me, this way I don't have to carry around 40 lbs of books all the time. And I have no more room in my house and I can't stand the local library.

But I fall in the same vein as you. With hard copies of books, use a bookmark! Don't fold the pages!

  2. Bookmarks are my life! I love them to bits. My sister once gave me a speecial bookmark in the form of a magic wand, where the words"Happy Birthday Anila" were inscribed. Best present ever!!!

    1. That's such a sweet present! I always want to buy a pretty bookmark, but I worry my cat will eat it!

  3. I also prefer physical books to ebooks. Ebooks are convenient, but I like seeing the physical books on my shelves.

Aj @ Read All The Things!

    1. I love seeing all the books lined up on my shelves!

  4. Hi Lizzie!

I like physical copies, but ereaders are easier on my eyes. I read about half of my books by ereader, but when I do read physical, I have always used bookmarks. I don't like to damage books.
The first thing my sister does when she gets a new paperback is break it's spine to make it lay flat. I hate that!

    Happy Reading!
    ~Icky. :-)

    1. I can't break the spine. I just can't. I open up the book just a teeny tiny bit so that it doesn't get damaged!
