Top Ten Tuesday #14

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week focuses on book quotes that we find inspirational.
So this one was really hard. Not all of them are really inspirational, they're mostly just books that I really like. I don't pay attention to quotes that much, so I had to go find my quotes on GoodReads. Most of my quotes are about dance, so it was a little hard to find quotes from books. Oh well. Here is my list of pretty much any quote I could find that I liked!
"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."
~Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling
"Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love.
It did not end well."
~Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Laini Taylor
"Have you ever asked yourself, do monsters make war, or does war make monsters?"
~Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Laini Taylor
"So violent. You want to mug and tase everybody these days."
"I do," Zuzana agreed. "I swear I hate more people everyday. Everyone annoys me. If I'm like this now, what am I going to be like when I'm old?"
"You'll be the mean old biddy who fires a BB gun at kids from her balcony."
"Nah. BBs just rile 'em up. More like a crossbow. Or a bazooka."
~Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Laini Taylor
"Will you show me what you really look like? You don't sparkle, do you?"
~Obsidian, Jennifer L. Armentrout
"I was feeling the height of bitchiness."
~Obsidian, Jennifer L. Armentrout
"All I ever wanted was to reach out and touch another human being not just with my hands but with my heart."
~Shatter Me, Tahereh Mafi
"The sweetest smiles hold the darkest secrets..."
~Flawless, Sara Shephard
"She as the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one."
~Heir of Fire, Sarah J. Maas
"You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That's what scares you most."
~Throne of Glass, Sarah J. Maas

Some are inspirational, some are funny, some are sad, but I like them all. I have other quotes that I thought about adding, but they didn't make the cut. Yeah, this one was kind of hard, as I said before, I don't always pay attention to quotes.

  1. Hi Lizzie, I just noticed that you commented on one very old post on my blog. It is so nice when older reviews get some comment love too, so thank you for that :)

I love quotes, and I guess that is part of the reason why I am so fond of my Kindle. Kindle makes it, so easy to mark the good quotes ;) I enjoyed reading the quotes you featured today, especially those from Laini Taylor, I LOVED DoSaB!

    1. No problem! Laini Taylor has so many great quotes!

    2. Yeah, she is a wordsmith, a poetic one I would claim :)

  2. OOOoh great quotes!! Love the HP one!! And the JLA ones!! All very awesome!!

  3. I love JLA's Lux Series. I used one of Daemon's quotes on my TTT list this week. I also got my quotes from Goodreads lol. Here's my TTT list: http://mountainrhinestones.blogspot.com/2015/04/top-ten-tuesday-8.html

    1. It was the only way I'd be able to find any quotes!

  4. I loved number 9 the first Daughter of Smoke and Bone quote. It made my list too. :)

    1. The books have so many great quotes!

  5. Great quotes! Especially number 5, I had a little giggle at that! I have the same Harry Potter one on my list.
