Confessions of a Bookworm #4

Confessions of a Bookworm #2

Confessions of a Bookworm is a new meme hosted by Anila at Parajunkee's View.

With this new feature, we have the opportunity to get to know each other by making confessions.

My Confession:
I hate it when people ask me what I'm reading. I understand they make be truly interested, but I don't care. You're interrupting my reading groove and I don't like it. Let me read in peace. I don't care if I'm at home or at work. Don't ask what I'm reading. I guess I don't like being asked because I read a lot of YA, and people are usually pretty judgmental about the genre.

This Weeks Question Is:
If you could time travel, and meet your favorite author (someone who unfortunately isn't among us), what would you do?

He's not my favorite author, but I would like to meet William Shakespeare. I think that he is really interesting and would just like to get to know him. And ask him if HE actually wrote all those plays and poems.

  1. I hate it when people ask that too! Even worse, when they ask that and then say "What's it about?" and you have to close the book and explain it. Shakespeare is an awesome choice of author! I have this impression that he was incredibly sassy.

  2. You are exactly right. Most people don't care what I am reading so why bother asking? My husband doesn't even ask and if he doesn't care enough, why should anyone else. It's a waste of my reading time.

  3. Definitely Shakespeare for me too!
I do like when people ask me what I'm reading, because it gives me a reason to talk about it. Like, not when I'm in the middle of reading because then I just wanna read, but for the rest of the time.

    1. Personally I feel like they usually don't care when they ask.
